JMA Honours Ensemble feat. Laura Small

  • Morrison's Jazz Club 2/16 Commercial Street West Mount Gambier, SA, 5290 Australia (map)

The JMA Honours Ensemble is made up of four of the brightest graduates from the James Morrison Academy who are currently doing their Honours year, plus a special guest bass player. Hand selected by James Morrison himself, the band performs mostly original contemporary jazz written by its members, as well as arrangements of music by composers ranging from Thelonious Monk to Sidney Bechet and everything in between. Earlier this year the ensemble travelled to the USA where they worked with students and staff at the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz in LA, and the Juilliard School in New York.

This is the first gig of their national tour, don't miss this opportunity to catch them in Mount Gambier at Morrison's Jazz Club!
